Experience Researcher & Design Strategist

Through my student and professional experiences, I’ve honed skills in the following areas:


Design Research Methodologies

With experience conducting surveys, co-creation interviews, usability studies, diary studies and more, one of my favorite part about the consulting process is identifying with the best methods to uncover the user insights needed to inform business and design decisions.



Throughout my work, I have moderated approximately 100 interviews and focus group sessions. I am RIVA certified, and have experience moderating participants through all kinds of subjects, from understanding what people want from a shampoo experience to understanding political viewpoints around food assistance.


Data Analysis & Synthesis

I believe in a rigorous approach to analyzing qualitative research in order to instill confidence in my clients around the findings. I use thematic, textual analysis to find patterns in the data. Most often, I use an inductive coding approach to ensure the research team is not making any assumptions and gleans all of the potential insights.

Visual Communication & Storytelling

With my undergraduate degree focusing graphic design and photography, I apply my visual design skills to create deliverables that my clients will find engaging and actionable. Using elements like frameworks, journey maps, and imagery, I creatively tell the story of the user and communicate the data effectively.

Workshop Facilitation

In order to utilize research effectively, I believe it’s important engage the team to understand what the data means and how to apply it. I have experience facilitating interdisciplinary workshops with various participants, from small nonprofit groups to large corporate teams. Workshop topics range from teaching and training, to data framework development, to design and business strategy.

Product & Service Design Strategy

To respond to user needs and desires, I have experience helping my clients map out a strategy for their products and services. Deliverables like product roadmaps, service design blueprints, and messaging strategies all make the insights immediately actionable for many functions in the organizations I work with.


Sustainability & Social Impact Strategy

My background in Design for Sustainability enables me to think in systems and identify specific leverage points for my non profit clients to focus on and increase their impact. As a result of helping these organizations better understand both their clients and their donors, as well as their roles in their communities, my company received the Columbus Business First Award for Corporate Citizenship in 2018.

Leadership & Account Management

As I’ve grown into leading projects, I have gained management and leadership skills around mentoring other associates and identifying opportunities for professional development within the team. Leadership is always a work in progress, and I try to be continuously learning, reading, and observing to improve. Through leading projects, I’ve formed relationships with clients and continue to help them identify areas where user-centered projects can move their businesses forward.
